HOW SEARCH WORKS
The catalogue can be browsed by category or the search box can be used. Any term can be entered into the box. The text in all of the fields will be searched. Thus a search for 'Boosey & Hawkes' will yield both instruments made by Boosey & Hawkes and those in the Boosey & Hawkes Collection. A search for 'bell' will yield bells but also records for brass and woodwind instruments where the bell section of the instrument has been referred to in the description field. Work is in progress to refine the search engine for the catalogue.
