Our current special collections display was part of the Horniman Museum's involvement in a joint BBC / British Museum project:
A History Of The World: Telling the story of London

As part of the project, the four London Hub Museums contributed 10 objects to tell the story of our region. The library displays 10 particular books representing our unique collections.

The Horniman Library started with the personal collection of F. J. Horniman, the founder of the Museum, and includes some material dating back to 17th century. The Archive includes material on the library history and the museum collections. Please see visiting us to book a visit.
