GARDENS
Set in the heart of south London, the Gardens are a green oasis within the bustle of the capital, with breathtaking panoramic views out over the city. In 2007, the Gardens were awarded the Green Flag for the fifth year running (the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales). To find out more about the Award visit www.greenflagaward.org.uk
The Gardens have Grade II listed status in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest. The Gardens now need a significant investment to ensure that we can maintain high standards and provide for our visitors needs now and into the future. We have been very fortunate in receiving early support from the National Lottery, through the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund, which, over the coming months, will enable us to conduct further consultation and work up detailed plans. If you would like to contribute your ideas to their redevelopment, please read more. Alternatively, please visit our Evolution 2010 website or download the Find out more about our Gardens in this YouTube video. |
