A wonderful way you can help support the Gardens Project whilst giving you, your family or your loved one a connection with the Horniman which will last for years to come.
Olive Trees
Picnic Benches
We have installed twelve new picnic benches located on the Bandstand Terrace, so that visitors can now enjoy their lunch whilst enjoying the stunning views across London. These picnic benches cost £500 to donate.
Plane Trees
The redevelopment project has redesigned and landscaped the Bandstand terrace, opening up the views and making the area more attractive and comfortable for events. We have planted eight plane trees on the Bandstand Terrace, which add character to this space and open up the view for visitors to enjoy. They will also be shaped to provide shade on hot summer days. You can donate one of these trees for £1200, which includes a discreet acknowledgment plaque.
Bandstand Lampposts
Sunken Garden Gates
These attractive oak gates mark the entrances to our newly redesigned Sunken and Display Gardens. They have been especially designed to help give the Display Garden its own character, as separate space for quiet reflection and education.
There are eight gates in total. The six larger gates cost £1,000 each to donate and the two slightly smaller gates cost £800 each.
Musical Instruments
We have installed five sculptural musical instruments on the Bandstand terrace; drums, a chime run, a xylophone, bat pipes and a spiral scraper. The Sound Corner will be a hands-on space for adults and children to enjoy and it is certainly one of the highlights of the refurbished Gardens. These instruments are bespoke and are of the highest quality. They would make a wonderful lasting dedication to a loved one.
Please download this document for a full list of the instruments, with prices and pictures.
