The Association of Friends of the Horniman is a Registered Charity (no. 800523), which was founded in 1988 to support the Horniman Museum
- by fundraising
- by publicising the Museum and Gardens
- and by practical help
Benefits
Friends of the Horniman receive the following benefits
- Invitations to private views and exhibitions
- Quarterly newsletters with articles on the Horniman and details of forthcoming Friends' events
- Friends' visits, groups and other social events
- Opportunities to be involved in events to support the Horniman
- The chance to meet new friends.
Friends' events
The Friends organise a number of events throughout the year. To find out more about what's on please visit the Friends Events page on this website.
Subscription
Individual membership costs just £15 and double membership costs £25 for the year from 1 June to 31 May of the following year. Family membership costs either £20 or £30, with Young Friend membership at £8.
In addition, overseas membership costs £20 per year and Corporate membership £40 per year. Part of every subscription contributes to Friends' Funds for the Horniman.

Unfortunately the Friends cannot accept payment by Direct Debit or Standing Order for new members. It is possible to pay by Credit or Debit Card at the information desk. Renewing members can pay by Standing order or internet banking payment.
If you feel you can include a donation as well, it will be very gratefully received.
