Public Art

Public Art in Forest Hill

We’re looking for local residents to help create a new piece of public art in Forest Hill.

Deptford collective, Artmongers, has been chosen to deliver the piece which will transform the wall adjacent to Sainsbury’s on London Road. The art work, which has been funded by Sainsbury’s, will use objects from the Horniman as inspiration and Artmongers want your ideas!

You’ll need to commit to three Artmongers workshops at the Museum, these will be informal and fun and will take place:

  • Tuesday 26 January 7 – 9pm – Hands on Base (research / object selection)
  • Sunday 31 January 3.30 – 5.30pm – Education Centre (design)
  • Sunday 7th February 3.30 – 5.30pm – Education Centre (further design / making)

If you’d like to be involved please e-mail marketing@horniman.ac.uk with Artmongers in the subject line. Space is limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
