VOLUNTEERINGAs the Horniman is a registered charity, volunteers play an invaluable - and very welcome - part in the Horniman's work. Our volunteering programme not only makes a valuable contribution to our work, it also offers volunteers a wide range of benefits - from offering a much valued day in a weekly routine in an interesting environment, to enabling people to develop their knowledge and acquire skills they can go on to use elsewhere. For more information on our commitment to involving volunteers, please see our Volunteering Policy. There is a range of opportunities to volunteer in a number of departments across the Museum and Gardens, in both long and short term roles, including research, administration, marketing and events. Volunteering also gives students entering the museum sector or other related professions, the chance to continue their professional development, by providing practical work experience in real working environments. To apply to join the Horniman as a volunteer or work placement please see the relevant section for further details. For further enquiries, please contact Jayne Williams, our Volunteer Co-ordinator |
