Things you can take
Cup
Collect you minibeast in a plastic pot to observe it. Remember to be gentle and put it back where you found it.
Magnifying Glass
A magnifying glass will help you take a closer look. Does it have wings? How many body parts does it have? Can you see any colours or patterns?
Paint Brush / Plastic Spoon
Use paint brush and spoon to pick up your minibeast. Be very gentle as they are very delicate.
Ruler
Take a ruler to measure how big your minibeast is and the size of its body parts.
Guide Book
A guide book will help you identify the minibeasts you find. You can borrow one from the library
Notebook / Pencil
Record what you find and make sketches in a notebook.
