BOOKING SESSIONS

A booked session can engage thinking, promote creativity, encourage curiosity and challenge learners to make links between themselves and the world around them.

It can also support the following skills: questioning, close observation, enquiry and interpretation, using objects as evidence for investigation, working in groups, speaking and listening, understanding different cultures and beliefs, understanding and respecting the natural environment, using the collections as a stimulus for creative work and to support literacy.

Owing to the diverse nature of our collections and the flexibility and skills of our team, we can adapt and tailor-make our offer to suit:

  • Different ages, abilities and needs
  • Different areas of learning, QCA schemes of work and subjects of the national curriculum
  • Elements of the new essentials for learning and life (Revised Primary Curriculum 2009),cross curriculum dimensions and personal learning and thinking skills.
