Free training twilight session: your outdoor classroom

Wednesday 9 June 2010, 4.00-600pm

This free training will introduce primary and secondary teachers to the Horniman Museum and Garden's ecology and environmental programmes. Find out how to take advantage of our 16 acres Gardens which include Wildlife, Food, World and Medicinal Gardens, a nature trail and an animal enclosure. The session will include practical advice for developing areas for encouraging wildlife and growing food. It will also introduce you to our extensive handling collection and how to use objects to cover themes which support the sustainable and eco schools awards.
