The London Look Photography Challenge

Celebrating our capital with an exhibition of the 14 finalists of The London Look photography challenge.

The challenge, a collaboration between the Horniman and lifestyle and culture website Londonist in July 2012, attracted over 350 entries. The images offer a diverse view of contemporary London seen through the eyes of both professional and amateur photographers.

Participants were asked if there was a definitive ‘London Look’, to consider the varied style of Londoners, and capture the essence of the city through street photography, either spontaneous or posed.

The two winning entries are Who's That Girl, Halfway to Heaven by Robbie Ewing and Sharp Dressed Man by Pete Zelewski.

The finalists (in no particular order) are: Beard by Andrew Nothstine, Bowler Hats by Miles Taylor, Colombia Road by Owen Melbourne, Tube by Ed Walker, Elliot by Eric Hands,  Estela by Elena Alhimovich, Love by Lincoln Schulz, Retro girl by Becky Frances, Suit & Tie, London Bridge by Laura McGregor, Tea Time by Edward Neumann,  Two Buns by Simone Fisher, Four by Sergey Lekomtsev.
