FLOOR PLANS
The Museum is arranged over three main floors including an Aquarium. The Natural History Gallery has a balcony on the first floor. A lift gives access to all the exhibition areas. The Library is located in the CUE building with the grass roof near the main entrance to the Museum. There is a café overlooking the magnificent Victorian conservatory, and a picnic area located in the sixteen acres of beautiful gardens. Welcome to the Horniman Museum, where you can discover more about the World, its people and their cultures and environments. Founded by Victorian tea trader Frederick Horniman in 1901, the Museum includes a £13m Centenary Development which opened in 2002.
