"value": "The Japan-British Exhibition of 1910 took place at White City, London from 14 May 1910 to 29 October 1910. Japan wanted to to develop a more favourable public image in Great Britain following the renewal of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance. Much of the material on display consisted of manufactured products; the hope was to increase Japanese trade with Britain. After the Exhibition many of the exhibits were sent back to Japan and some were sent to other cities in Europe where exhibitions were planned. The rest was presented to museums and other institutions."
