            "value": "The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, were founded in 1759 by Princess Augusta and Lord Bute. Kew Gardens and Richmond Gardens were united in 1802 by George III. Sir Joseph Banks (1743-1820) was heavily involved in developing Kew into a botanic garden of scientific and economic significance. Banks made many collecting trips around the world, and brough back many exotic plants to Kew. The Royal Botanic Gardens are today a major research institute. Kew houses a seedbank, extensive botanical archives, and may important historical buildings including the Nash conservatory, which was originally built for Buckingham Palace and moved to Kew in 1836."
