            "value": "Anthony Shelton studied sociology and social anthropology at the University of Hull, and then in 1985 began working as curator of American Collections at the British Museum. In 1991 he moved to the Royal Pavillion in Brighton as keeper of non-Western art and anthropology. In 1995 he joined the Horniman Museum as Keeper of Anthropology, and in 1998 became Head of Collections (Research and Development). He left the Horniman in 2004, and now works at the University of British Columbia as museum director and professor of anthropology."
