They had three sons and a daughter. After their divorce on 9 October 1922 he remarried on 28 October 1926 with Wilhelmina Jacoba Christina Green Eijk. In 1930, by Royal Decree, he add his mother's maiden name to his own and became C.L. Walther Boer."
