The wide round rim at the top acts as a mouth hole with a rounded chamfer on the outer edge. Beneath this are two decorative bands, the uppermost of orange fibre. An elongated lug at the side of the instrument near the top has a small round finger hole passing through it. The spear head at the distal end has decorative grooves cut into each side."
