The string is a straightened lenth of twisted wire. The resonator is a dried fruit rind, attached by means of a twist of wire. The junction of the bow and the resonator is surrounded by a wreath of cloth bound with fibre. A metal spring with hair inside is attached to one end. Musical Instruments: Plate 21, no.111."
