The museum number is marked on steelyard beam and the description is coherent to the register, only the provenance is incorrect. This steelyard was made in Japan, neither China nor Canton as mentioned on the register. All silver inlaid scale marking were Japanese numerals written almost identical to Chinese formal numbers except for some minor stroke variations. The chrysanthemum brass fitting along the beam is also typical Japanese rather than Chinese. SFC. Agreed FK."
