On Weds 29 and Thurs 30 March, the Butterfly House, Animal Walk, Bandstand Terrace, and Horniman Drive gates and path will be closed for resurfacing works. Blue Badge parking is closed all week. Please follow signs on site.
We strongly advise visitors to book tickets in advance to avoid queuing, due to reduced till points at the Ticket Desk.
Kathputli string puppet depicting a character in a play, consisting of a carved wooden head with an integral hat, covered and decorated with polychrome pigments overall. The puppet has a textile upper body, including the arms. The puppet wears a textile costume including a grey and purple shirt and a layered skirt, which is decorated with metallic thread. The puppet is holding a sword wrapped in textile. Various strings are attached.
