The warp between this and the small wooden warp rod is tied into a loose knot. The two sections of textile are of unequal length, and separated by a short section of unwoven warp. The centre contains 2 differently decorated sections consisting of a black stripe decorated with cream framed by green stripes decorated in orange. They are framed overall with narrow stripes in cream, black, green, yellow, orange and violet. The section containing smaller patterns and motifs is framed by sections decorated with fine bands.",

            "value": "Stage in the manufacture of a tablet-woven banding. The multicoloured cotton warp is threaded through parchment tablets bundled into 5 small packs. Each of these is tied with string. String ties also secure the warp either side of the tablets. The warp between this and the small wooden warp rod is tied into a loose knot. The two sections of textile are of unequal length, and separated by a short section of unwoven warp. The centre stripe in each contains 2 different patterns, framed overall with narrow stripes in cream, black, green, yellow, orange and violet. In one the centre consists of a black and cream banded stripe framed by orange and green banded stripes. The other consists of a black centre stripe divided by short sections of cream, and the centre, cream part of motifs\/patterns. The framing green stripes are similarly divided by short sections of orange and the outer, orange sections of the motifs\/patterns. In the longer of the two textile segments 2 rectangular motifs frame a more ovoid motif, followed by a pattern of linked diamonds, and one of small rectangles. On the shorter textile segment the both motifs occur only once. The third motif consists of a framed rectangle. The patterns are the same as on the other segment."
