Jacket (shepek). Zakho, N W Iraqi Kurdistan c. 1945. Plain weave blue, with mauve line embroidery down both sides of the front, the middle of the back and in rings round the sleeves, with a rectangular patch at each cuff. Cloth probably goat hair. With a pair of trousers in same material. Worn by the chiefs of the nomadic Harki tribes.Length 27 in.Width incl. sleeves 68 in
