Below these panels hang two tassels (one orange and one green) bound with gold thread and decorated with orange pearlized beads. Bands of grey silk and embroidered ribbons around the edge of the cap with blue streamers at the back, lined with pink cotton. D. 6 inches. H. 3 inches."

            "value": "Child's round hat made from multi-coloured silk damask and satin decorated with multi-coloured embroidery and tassels. The textile has a pink silk damask crown, and a cream silk damask medallion on each side. The pink textile is patterned with what appear to be circular motifs of varying sizes.  The sides are constructed from of woven banding, and a section of grey satin silk. 2 sections of the banding are decorated with 2 alternating motifs in white and green on a black ground. The edges of the grey satin are outlines with narrower banding. The one at the top contains red circular motifs on a yellow ground. The one above the rim contains a light green band with white patterning, and a band of purple diamonds on a white ground. All the banding is woven using supplementary, continuous warp. The bottom edge of each medallion secures the pink and white knot to which an orange and a green tassel are attached. The coloured silk threads of each tassel are looped over a paper cylinder, and secured by wrapping with black, white and gold-coloured threads. On one side 2 light orange beads are threaded onto the tie above the cylinder. On the other side only one bead has been used for each tassel. A blue textile tie is attached to the back at about the same level. The crown is decorated with a circular motif couched in gold-coloured, metal-wrapped thread. In front of it is an embroidered hare surrounded by foliate patterns. At the back is an embroidered bird motifs surrounded by floral sprays. Both medallions are also embroidered with floral sprays. The edges of these areas are decorated with banding, and applied, gold-coloured paper band. The banding surrounding the pink crown has been braided using white and 2 shades of green threads to create a chevron pattern. The banding surrounding the medallions is the same as the one used above the rim. The inside is lined with sections of tabby-woven cotton."
