Palm leaf basket with an attached lid. The base and lid are both formed from tightly coiled bunches of palm leaf. On the sides, wider pieces have been used and are coiled in single layers. The shape graduates outwards, so that the top is wider than the base. The lid is attached with twisted fibres that pass through one side and back through the other, forming a handle at the top. The two ends of the handle are tied together on the outside.
