            "value": "According to the catalogue, this almost square piece of tapa, or bark cloth (made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree) was made for the tourist market in 1971.  Mainly traditional designs have been stencilled on to the ground, using  black and brown pigment.  The central square contains a cream wavy line running from one corner to the other on a brown ground.  Either side of it is an  elongated 'x' repeat pattern (on a black ground), with a circular motif in two of the corners.  This square is framed by three border patterns.  There are two repetitions of the elongated 'x' pattern, one on the outside, and inbetween is a small brown repeating diamond motif.",
