The rug has a homespun warp, and a  weft consisting mainly of  four-ply Germantown yarn according to associated documentation. The small pink sections supposedly consist unravelled American flannel. The fringing consists of sections in red, blue, and green with an additional blue and cream tassel attached to the left bottom corner."
