            "value": "Fiddle. Tunis. Hollowed from solid wood. The lower half is covered with a skin table, glued in place. The upper half has a cover of embossed brass with a bone edging. The lower half barely waisted. One sound-hole on each side near the top. A group of three sound-holes on each side near the middle. Three graduated roses in the brasswork. Angled peg-box. Two large reel-shaped pegs. Finial of trefoil shaped with a cord and tassel. A bone nut. Bone edging defective. Skin partly patched and coming away at one side. Label says '1894'."

The lower part of the body, which is slightly waisted,  is covered with a skin table, glued in place. The hollow neck is covered with a copper plate with a grille of three rosettes of graduated sizes. The plate is edged with bone, and there is a bone nut.   Reflexed peg-box with two large reel-shaped pegs. The finial is trefoil shaped,  with a cord and tassel. Label: '1894'."
