The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Wooden spoon with an oval-shaped bowl and a flat handle. The handle has two bands of blackened notched decoration, one on the front and one on the rear. The tip of the handle also has notched decoration on the front and back, and is finished in a triangular point. The rim of the bowl and the sides of the handle have been blackened.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
