            "value": "Rectangular wall hanging consisting of a felted ground with applied decoration. The ground of the textile is arranged in 3 fields. The rectangular red centre is stitched onto the larger orange rectangle.  This layer does not extend all the way to the top. Many smaller red pieces have been sewn together to construct a centre panel and a border here. The orange part of the textile has been constructed in 2 sections which have been sewn together on the longer sides.  The brown border has been sewn together from a number of smaller pieces. At the top this has been covered with 3 sections of purple, red and pink woven textile. A red and yellow cord has been attached to either side below this band. The decoration consists of alternating rows of  3 circular motifs (1 missing in the bottom row) and paired toothed bands. Toothed stripes  decorate the longer sides of the brown border. The circular motifs and toothed borders have been cut from plain or printed tabby woven or twill textile, and applied. The majority of the toothed bands are paired. The bottom one secures the knotted fringing which has tasseled ends in  cream, yellow, blue-black and red. 3 of the fringes are green.   The one at the bottom of the piece is red, and has only one toothed band. The reverse of the piece is without decoration, but shows the way the different felted section have been sewn together."
