The centre field is divided into three sections by two rows of red and white chain stitch.  The upper section, which might be construed as a prayer niche, has at its centre two white and one purple flower motifs.  This is surrounded by a purple meandering line and two 'columns' containing white meandering lines.  The decoration of the lower section has the same shaped outline but contains pink, purple and turquoise amorphous shapes.  Both sections have further turquoise coloured embroidery.  The bottom section has a large motif resembling a multicoloured brick wall.  The border pattern is a scrolled motif executed in white chain stitch.  Fringing in two tones of red is applied to the edge of the rug.  (It is missing in two small areas.)"
