The decoration is arranged in a centre panel, a wider and 2 narrow borders. The centre panel consists of 4 circular floral medaillons surrounded by undulating lines with further floral motifs.  The borders consist of  2 narrow red ones.  One consists of a framed zigzag, the other one of a linked chain. Between them lies the wider border. This is decorated with repeat floral motifs which form a chain.\n\nFelt mat, Numdah.  Single face, wool.  Face: natural ivory ground with four circles of flowers and leaves surrounded by similar motifs in pink, maroon, blue, yellow, brown and black in chain stitch; border of flowers with foliage, enclosed by red chain stitch. The whole textile is fringed with tufts of fleece felted into the edges. The decoration is arranged in a centre panel, a wider and 2 narrow borders. The centre panel consists of 4 circular floral motifs surrounded by undulating lines with further floral motifs. The centre of the circular motifs consists of a quatrefoil motif in an octagonal frame. At 4 points floral motifs are added to this frame. A floral chain surrounds this. 2 shorter floral chains which mirror each other  fill the surrounding space. The  2 narrow red borders consists of a framed zigzag, and a linked chain. Between them lies the wider border.  This is decorated with repeat floral motifs which form a chain."
