            "value": "The cloth, aso-oke, for the costume was commissioned for the Horniman Museum Yoruba Exhibition (1991) from the guild of Alhaji Arowolo of Ayetoro Okeho, Oyo State in 1990.  It was woven on the men's horizontal loom from industrially manufactured black cotton yarn and imported metallic yarn of green, silver and gold.\nLengths of aso-oke were sewn selvedge-to selvedge by tailors in Ibadan.  Using this material, the fashion designer Boladale Alaba Ige of Adonai Fashions, Ibadan, was requested to produce a set of 'a la mode' costumes suitable for nuclear family comprising husband, wife, daughter and son.\nAs the naming ceremony concept developed at the Horniman Museum, Laja Adedoyin-Akintola was commissioned to make a costume for a baby boy, to complete the set, using the aso-oke cloth which was left over by Adonai Fashions.  \nKeith Nicklin.
