Su Wu, a Chinese diplomat and statesman of the Han Dynasty, is portrayed carrying an official staff hung with five tassels, a broken hat on his back and a ram sitting beside him. The clay body is grey stoneware, covered with copper red glaze on his robe and staff's tassels, blue glaze on his head scarf, white glaze on ram and his beard and eyebrow, cafe-au-lait glaze on his hat and staff. His face is painted with iron brown pigment. Su Wu was captured and spent many years surviving as a shepherd, hence the ram.",
