            "value": "Rgya-gling, conical oboe. Hardwood body with a conical external profile and bore. Seven finger holes and one thumb hole. The finger holes are equidistant and of graduated size with the smallest at the top. Seven brass ferrules encircle the body, one above each finger hole. Each ferrule has a semi-precious stone inset into the front,  alternately coral and turquoise. A chased brass sleeve covers the proximal end of the body.   Brass and copper pirouette.  The bell is of copper and flares towards the rim. Pierced and chased brass ferrules encircle the top, middle and bottom of the bell. A brass chain connects the bell to the pirouette. The instrument was purchased with a reed for a European oboe."
