At the top and bottom of the braid is silver-coloured braiding and flat buttons have been attached.  Two large Turkish coins are sewn onto the red ground on either side of the decorative band.  The apron is trimmed at the edge with yellow and gold-coloured braid, silver-coloured braid and blue needlepoint lace.
