apron; textile

Wool apron, predominantly green, with long fringing. The rectangular panel has a rounded bottom edge. Many fine twill and tabby woven weft faced bands are repeated in sequence, using cream, yellow, green, brown and blue/black woollen yarns. Around the sides and bottom edge is an applied tablet woven (?) woollen braid, made of cream, blue, orange and two tones of green. The braid's weft has been extended to form a long fringe. The upper woven edge has been turned and stitched; the apron ties are missing. [Textile]
