The cotton warp is tied in preparation for dyeing and weaving a warp ikat cloth, specifically a man's skirtcloth, a 'selimut', and this particular type of frame is called a 'langa tali hi'i'.  (A man's 'selimut' is wider and shorter than a woman's tubeskirt.)  At one end of the frame are two sets of holes, enabling a variation in warp length.  Fine cotton warp has been tied with bast fibre (pandan leaves ?) to produce seven bands of the main motif 'boda'.  [Textile]",

            "value": "[One of two] 'langa tali': [an ikat frame with tied warp] for ikat dyeing.  This is, specifically a] 'langa tali hu'i', for a man's 'selimut' [skirt cloth].  [It has] seven bands of main motif 'boda'.  Purchased from Ina Keraba Lodo, Ledetadu, Mesara.  Threads from Ina Jami Jawa.  [This] 'langa tali' is shorter for a selimut than for a sarong.  (For terminology, see Duggan 2001, fig. 88, p. 136).  The selimut described here is of the type 'hi'i huri wo medi (This is not a worapi).  [Textile]"
