Brass resting bell or 'nening'.
The nening keeps time in the ritual music of the kading-pane ensemble of drums and oboes for Sora festivals honouring the dead. Dancing is a feature of these celebrations. It is held by the rim in the left hand and is struck in the centre with a wooden stick (2004.520.2).
