            "value": "The cymbals were purchased in the metalware shop of Gopal Mahapatro in Parlakhemundi, on the advice of the Erukula musician Mr Ramaswamy. They keep the beat in a variety of musical contexts, including devotional singing.  In the music of the itinerant community of Erakula musicians in Orissa, the cymbals are also used to accompany the sung narration of the Ramayana epic."
