

Erhu, spike fiddle. Singapore. Cylindrical wooden body bearing a paper label printed with the numerals ‘101’, The back carved with a lattice in the form of a flower with six petals. Snakeskin (probably python skin) soundtable. The wooden neck, pegbox and dragon head finial carved from one piece of wood. The body and neck are varnished. Strings, bridge and string holder at the end of the spike missing.
