The high time of public flute playing is mostly weddings. There is specific flute playing season which starts after the harvest of corn. The myth goes that if people play flutes early in the season, it would invite the mice to come out of their holes and attach the crops. So the flute plaing season starts in autumn...They are difficult to play as they require a sharp and consistent air flow from the sdie of mouth tightly closed."
