The theme of the procession was a homage to a famous Brazilian football player named Zico. The title of the theme is 'Arthur X: O reino do Galinho de ouro na Corte da imperatriz', which can be translated into english as 'Arthur X: the realm of the Golden Rooster visits the court of the Empress'. Arthur is the real name of the football player, who is known by the nickname Zico. 'X' is for the number of the position (10) in his football team and in the Brazilian team as well. The story of Zico is performed by the school as an allegory imagining the encounter of two realms, the Realm of Football, in which Zico is the King (Arthur X) and the Realm of the Empress (Imperatriz, the name of the samba school, means Empress).\n\nThe costume represents the Court of the Empress's carnivalesque reception during the visit of Zico to her court.
