Silver teapot in European form with a spherical body and four lion claw feet. The angular body and spout are decorated with a chased pattern of scrolling tendrils and flowers against a finely tooled background; the handle has a row of quatrefoil motifs, broken at two points with a collar of ivory. The lid is hinged and topped with a rounded bud and leaf finial. Typical of the silverwork made in Cutch by Indian silversmiths for European customers.
