            "value": "Trapezoid saddle cloth made from velvet decorated with silver-coloured spangles and couched metal thread, as well as a yellow, and a cream fringe. The lining consists of red silk textile with red, cream and yellow ikat patterns. The red velvet centre has been sewn together from 6 pieces. This is decorated with 2 panels separated and surrounded by  framed borders consisting of an undulating vine against a background of spangles. The section likely to be covered by the saddle is plain and outlined with an arched border consisting of a line of spangles framed by couched green thread. The surrounds are decorated with foliate motifs against a background of spangles. The decoration in the tapezoid panel consists of 2 abstract floral patterns against a background of spangles. The inside of the larger floral motifs is decorated with metal wrapped thread couched with a contrasting coloured stitch. The other motifs and borders are raised by couching over some form of padding (possibly paper). The whole panel is framed by a green velvet border which has been sewn together from shorter sections. At the side and back the join between the red and green velvet has been decorated with a yellow silk woven fringe with knotted detailing. At the outside edge is a cream silk fringe with plied ends. The lining has also been sewn together from sections of one cloth. The ikat pattern consists of cream undulating lines with yellow repeat motifs either side separated by a thin cream band, or small curved pink motifs arranged in a row."
