Large circular wooden box with lid, dated 1632. The box is of sewn and pegged lathes of deal wood, stained and carved on the exterior. The side of the lid and box carries a long inscription: "Dene øsk kome migi a:h:d. til met ret oc skel det kan ingen fra mig tret hvem dene". The inscription continues along the side of the box "tiel han skalt aldrig fare vel to dag skalt hand edevan broadens dag ska. han i gal gen dø". This inscription roughly translates as "This box came to me (?is mine) (a.h.d.-initials); with might and skill it came. No one shall take it from me. Whoever steals it shall never fare well thereafter. Each friend and brother shall on the gallows hang". There is a note affixed to the underside of the lid. The lid has a carved surface in a similar design to knotted rope.
