Hair comb with 17 tines of black palmwood. Several triangular tesserae of chambered nautilus shell are inset in paranarium gum.
Comb ornament of separate sticks bound with fibre and consolidated with putty, inlaid with pearl shell. Combs of this type are characteristic of southeast Solomon Islands, particularly Makira and Ulawa but also south Malaita.
