Instrument composed of a natural reddish stick (partly blackened) and a large red (partly blackened) gourd body with a membrane cover secured with very long wooden pegs. A large sound hole on one side of the membrane. Two strings of black horsehair bound to the neck by leather strings. Only fragments remain of both the strings."
