            "value": "Double membrane cylindrical drum. Skin, wood, paint. Overall height: 415mm, Diameter: 360 mm. India"

            "value": "Double membrane tubular drum. Wooden body. Two narrow circumfrential ridges suggest reinforcing rings. Body painted in yellow, red and black in a design resembling a backgammon board. A central red band with a yellow foliate design. Each side of this central band has an elongated dogtooth design with red triangles towards the centre and yellow towards the rims. These are outlined in black. Hide membranes secured by flat concealed hoops, which protrude above the faces as the edges of the membrane are overwound. A twisted vegetable fibre lacing around the body terminates as a shoulder strap, which is ultimately tied to a metal ring attached to the side of the body. Tensioners in the form of short leather cords are tied round each V in the lacing."

The woooden shell decorated with four lateral bands of red and yellow triangles outlined in black, and with a central band of scrolling foliage in yellow on a red ground. The hide membranes are lapped onto flesh hoops. A twisted vegetable fibre lacing runs between the counter hoops and terminates at a shoulder strap, which is tied to a metal ring attached to a disc on the the side of the shell. The lacing is tensioned by knotted loops of leather."
