It is painted in yellow ochre over the whole body, and you can see the lines and texture of the wood through the paint.\nThe face is painted white, the eyes are ringed in kohl, and the tip of the nose is missing. The headdress is elaborately painted in black, red, white and blue. There are rows of feathered designs around the face in red and blue, and blue and ochre stripes running down the lappets. The bottom of the lappets have two bands of blue, black and red stripes, separated by a band of white with black dashes on it. \nThe hands have been painted on beneath the lappets in red and blue\/green, as if the arms are crossed over the chest. The thumbs are pointing outwards and the hands are holding what look like short pieces of ribbon or material. A figure of Anubis the jackal is painted in black just below the hands in the centre of the body. \nThere is a central long panel of black hieroglyphs running from just under Anubis down the rest of the length of the body, outlined in a blue\/green border. \nAn old paper label is stuck to the body at the bottom, on the proper right side, which reads: \u2018No. 9\u2019.",
