Short presentation of John Horniman’s funeral. His remains were interred on Wednesday (unknown date) at the Friends’ Burial Ground in Croydon, seen off by a large gathering of friends, family, employees, and representatives of various charitable institutions. Before the body was lowered into the grave, two participants offered prayer, and another one recited a poem. A short service was subsequently held in the adjoining Meeting House.
